Exit Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2000. The program works with various groups
and individuals to help women exiting prison. The main focus of this organization is to provide clothing, coats, shoes,
toiletries, towels, and other necessities for women who have lost everything during their incarceration. Not every
women is in this situation but Exit tries to help those who are to have a hand up in starting a new life. To begin again
is a challenge. To begin again with only the clothes on your back is heartbreaking.

Exit Ministries is interested in talking to any women's group who might be interested in helping one or more women by
providing them with these immediate needs. So many women have closets filled to overflowing with like-new
clothing. We tap into these closets and these hearts and work to meet the needs with new and used items.

The groups or individuals gather their packages and ship them directly to their woman along with personal notes of
encouragement. These notes can touch a woman's life in a mighty way. To know that others women care is an
immense ministry to these newly released women.

Here is an excerpt from a recent letter:

I am writing this to let you know I am very thankful for the wonderful gifts you have given me. I didn't realize there are
so much caring people out there. I know that it was by the grace of God that I recieved gifts, clothing and toiletries. I
was very moved by all the wonderful gifts. I cried. I didn't feel I was so deserving although I was very much in need.
God bless all of you. I will never foget this program....

In 2000 EXIT MINISTRIES, Inc. became an official non-profit organization with the 501(c)(3) IRS requirements. EXIT
is grateful to recieve financial contributions to help keep the program going. But it's also your gifts that go directly to
the women that make this program a success. Your words of encouragement and feminine tenderness in preparing the
items for these women that can give a woman the courage to face a new day.

Upon receipt of clothing, one woman in a halfway house came running up to the desk to sign out. She was given
clothing and a coat...everything fit and she was headed out to find a job. Something so simple as a coat. What a great
program because that coat was merely hanging to the side in someone's closet.
